In my humble opinion, band tees are a staple. Load up. You can never have too many.
THE BAND TEE: A CLOSET STAPLE
It doesn’t matter what decade or season you’re in. Band tees will always be in style. I’ve always loved vintage fashion and think it adds an extra something to an outfit. They’ve pretty much been around since the 60’s… and I dare say they will ever go out of style. Even if they do, I’m still going to rock them forever and ever.
WORK IT INTO YOUR OWN PERSONAL STYLE
If you think band tees are just for the “rocker” type… NO MA’AM! Think of them as your classic white tee. Yes, you can wear them with jeans and a pair of black booties for an edgy look. But, you can just as easily style them with a midi skirt or under a slip dress if you’re into mixing feminine with masculine (which I LOVE!) Band tees are really easy to work into your own personal style. I actually think they look best when paired with more sophisticated pieces like heels and blazers. Heck… wear your pearls with them! That’s cool too!
VINTAGE IS GREAT, BUT SOMETIMES YOU NEED TO IMPROVISE
While I love finding TRUE vintage band tees, sometimes I strike out at my local thrift store. So… I need to improvise. Here are some band tees that I love (and some of which I own) that are all under $50. Happy shopping!
