MY 5 FAVORITE FRAGRANCES

I have a fragrance for everything and every season. I also have a fragrance that I’ve been wearing since I was 16 years old! Read on for more about why I love each one of these five favorites…

This is somewhat of a different post than I normally do, but I’m so obsessed with perfumes I felt the need to share. It’s a difficult thing to write about because if you can’t smell the fragrance, it’s hard to tell if you like it. But, I’ve done a lot of research on these scents and feel like I’m able to explain them enough so that you can decide if you’d like to try them or not.

MY SIGNATURE SCENT: Amor Amor by Cacharel

*Main notes are pink grapefruit, mandarin, blood orange, Malati Flower (jasmine scented), lilly of the valley, white musk, sandalwood, vanilla, and ambergris.

WHEN TO WEAR: Great for anytime and any season!

I’ve been wearing Amor Amor since I was 16 years old. A girl in my high school wore it one day and I was instantly obsessed. Needless to say, I bought it and have been rocking it ever since. It’s not very expensive, but it is hard to find. Your best bet is ordering online as it’s no longer in department stores (it was when I first started wearing it!) If this stuff ever goes out of production I think I’ll probably cry.

BOSS LADY SCENT: Gucci Bamboo

*White floral, citrus, woody, a little bit sweet, yang-ylang, amber, orange blossom, sandalwood

WHEN TO WEAR: Whenever you need an extra boost of confidence!

I wear Gucci Bamboo when I have something major to accomplish that day. And yes, I really do this. For some reason it reminds me of a confident, classy woman – and when I wear this it’s exactly how I feel. If I’m wearing a suit… I’m most likely wearing Gucci Bamboo.

FAVE FRESH SCENT: Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey

*Notes of nectarine, peach and cassis, delicate spring flowers and acacia honey

WHEN TO WEAR: It’s very light, so I prefer it in the spring or summer. But, I also like to spritz it when I just want a nice clean scent that isn’t too strong.

I fell in love with Jo Malone scents because they are so fresh and clean smelling! Better yet, they’re designed to be mixed together. All the fragrances pretty much blend, so it’s fun to layer them and create a scent all your own! I like Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey by itself, but sometimes I mix it with Jo Malone Basil & Neroli. When I wore this I got so many compliments from the man behind me in the grocery check out lane to a Target employee and my husband! I recommend buying sample sizes and finding which ones you like best. Then, try mixing them!

WINTER SCENT: Burberry Brit

*Notes of vanilla, almond, amber, green lemon, frosted pear, and white peony.

WHEN TO WEAR: This is my go-to fall/winter scent.

I love pretty much all the Burberry scents, but Burberry Brit is definitely my favorite. And for some reason, it seems to smell different on everyone! I associate it with fall/winter because I first received it as a Christmas gift, but in all honesty you probably could wear it year round if you’re that into it. When I pulled my sweaters out of storage I sprayed them with Burberry Brit. It just makes me happy!

FEMININE SCENT: Marc Jacobs Decadence Eau So Decadent

*Notes of citrus, light floral, white amber, woody

WHEN TO WEAR: Date Night or anytime you want to feel extra feminine

My husband now associates this Marc Jacobs scent with our date nights (he probably doesn’t know it though!) I wear it when I go out with my husband because it’s very feminine, but also has notes of amber( which is consistently in all of my perfumes if you couldn’t tell). The packaging is also so cute. I wish they made a purse like this!

Love, Lindsey
