Polka-dots are one of the most feminine prints around. And if there’s one thing I love to do when it comes to styling… it’s taking a feminine piece and making it a little edgier…
SHOP MY LOOK
After trying it on, I realized it showed way more cleavage than I’m comfortable with. I was on the verge of that Green Versace dress Jennifer Lopez wore in 2000, but I DEFINITELY didn’t look as cool or sex-ay.
I’m actually happy the neckline ended up being low, because it forced me to think out of the box on ways to style it so that I still felt comfortable. I chose to pair it with a simple white short sleeve tee and some sneaks. It made the maxi dress look not too “fussy” and I felt covered and comfortable. (P.S. I did the same thing with a low-cut jumpsuit HERE.)
I’m also really into retro pieces lately, so I thought these cat-eye sunnies would be the perfect way to add a little something extra to the outfit.
If you all are curious of the makeup I used, check out the “SHOP” tab at the top of this website. If you hover over it you’ll see the “MY BEAUTY BAG” section – which is where I’ve linked all of the makeup I’m loving. And if you have any questions… don’t hesitate to ask in the comment section below!
