Wanting to hop on the overall bandwagon, but not sure which style or shape will look best on you? Here’s one fit that’s flattering on most body types…

O.O.O. (Other Overalls Options) I’ve included descriptions as to why I included them in this post.
Why they have staying-power
Overalls have been around forever. I’ve always loved them because you can dress them up, or dress them down, but they always have this way of making it look like you didn’t put too much effort into your outfit.
The most flattering overall style
Since 2015, we’ve been seeing brands pump out updated versions of the classic piece. From slouchy to distressed, flared leg, high waisted, etc. So which is the perfect style for you? It of course depends on your personal style, but I truly think that a form fitted leg with a little slouch is the one style that flatters most body types. Plus, I’ve found that this style is incredibly versatile.
How to style them
You can wear them with chunky sandals and a tee, or dress them up with a pair of heels and an off the shoulder top, like I did in these pictures. I’ve worn this black pair of overalls NUMEROUS times. I’ve styled them with a polka-dot top and lace-up flats, with a pair of sneakers and a simple white tee, the outfit options are endless!
What shoe to wear with them
A high heel is always a good idea, especially if you’re rocking a pair that’s a little slouchy. I also like them worn with sneakers or a pair of Birkenstock sandals for a weekend-ready look.
What to wear underneath
Get creative! I like throwing on an off the shoulder top underneath for a little modern-edge. For a more sophisticated look, I like to pair overalls with a button-down blouse. For an undone look, throw on a white t-shirt or your favorite band tee. Ruffled blouses would also look really cool underneath your favorite overalls! In the summer, you can wear them with slouchy tank tops.
