New York Fashion Week may have just wrapped, but it was back in September when we discovered what trends would be emerging in spring/summer 2017. I’ve been patiently waiting for stores to start pumping out the warmer weather pieces – and that time has finally come!
Now, while I’d love to throw-down on designer digs… that’s just not realistic. You all know I LOVE finding great deals and discounts, so I stopped by the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets to see what I could find. Here’s a look at on-trend pieces I was able to scoop up at a great price…
UPDATED SHIRT DRESS/LONGLINE KIMONO
This top actually combines two trends we’ll be seeing in 2017. The white shirt dress gets a makeover this year with interesting cuts and unexpected hemlines. I chose to wear this shirt dress buttoned up and with jeans, but when unbuttoned it resembles a longline kimono – another popular trend we’ll be seeing this year.
IN YOUR FACE FLORALS
No big surprise here. Florals will always be in style for the spring, but in 2017 we’re seeing bolder colors, interesting cuts and lots of ruffles.
Fashion’s obsession with shoulders rages on! In 2016 it was all about the off the shoulder, and this year we’re seeing everything from one-shoulder cut-outs to flashdance cuts.
TASSELS & POM EARRINGS
The statement earring is back! Get a colorful tassel or pom earring to make your outfit really pop. Plus, they’re just SOOOO spring/summer, no?
