For a scent that’s truly unique, here are some perfect pairings using Jo Malone London fragrances.

MY JO MALONE BACKSTORY

When I was first introduced to Jo Malone London, I was so intrigued by the fact that their fragrances were designed to be layered. I learned about the fragrances during a Beauty Blogger event at Fashion Show Las Vegas, and had some fun playing around with the scents to create one that was unique to me (because who doesn’t want a signature scent that’s all their own?!)

I ran a few errands after the event before heading home and EVERYONE was complimenting me on my perfume. I’m not kidding. A lady at the grocery store, some random guy at the gas station, and my husband ALL had something nice to say about how I smelled.

I. WAS. HOOKED.

I’ll share the scents I was wearing that day (and still wear) later in this post, but first… here are a few ways you can layer Jo Malone fragrances:

HOW TO LAYER

One way to layer is spritzing one Jo Malone cologne, followed by a second. You could also apply a body creme in one scent and layer a completely different cologne scent on top. Some days, I like to use my body wash, and spritz on a different cologne scent after I shower. So many options… and it’s really fun to play around with the different combinations.

FAVORITE JO MALONE FRAGRANCE COMBINATIONS

Now let’s get to whey you’re here in the first place. The combinations. While I definitely recommend you have fun creating your own (for anyone in Vegas, you can find them at both Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Ave and Neiman Marcus at Fashion Show), I wanted to share a few combos that I particularly love to give you a jump start…

Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey + Basil Neroli

This is the combination I wore after the beauty event that got me so many compliments. I still wear it to this day, and find that it’s the perfect mix of feminine and masculine (just like my fashion style!) The Nectarine Blossom & Honey has a peachy smell to it that gives it a sweet and playful vibe. The Basil Neroli has a touch or orange flower scent, but is a little “peppery” which gives it an edgier vibe. I think it adds the perfect unexpected twist to an otherwise citrusy scent.

I still get compliments to this day whenever I wear these two together.

Jo Malone Tuberose Angelica + Orange Blossom

Taking a page out of Poppy Delevigne’s book… these two scents are, as she puts it, “floral but also devilish”. Tuberose (the “queen” of white florals) is the base of this mix. There’s also some amber wood warmth which makes this combo so intriguing.

Jo Malone Poppy & Barley + Wood Sage & Sea Salt

This pairing mixes crisp, juicy and floral with warm, woody and a touch of salt. I can’t explain why I love it so much… but I think I like the salty/sweet mix. I call it the “chocolate covered pretzels” pairing.

Jo Malone Orange Blossom + Blackberry & Bay

If you’re looking for a new fall scent that’s also incredibly unique… this is it. It’s fruity and floral, but with some spice to it. It’s definitely a more “moody” take on the Orange Blossom fragrance. Both scents are so beautiful on their own, but paired together… WOW!

Have you tried layering Jo Malone fragrances before? What are you’re favorite combinations? I’d love to know! Leave a comment and let’s get this fragrance party started.

Love, Lindsey
